Not at all. Muse Bookkeeping is 100% remote and serves clients nationwide. Everything runs through cloud-based tools including QuickBooks Online, Gusto, and secure file sharing. Most clients never need an in-person meeting.

Yes, and this is actually where we do some of our best work. Catch-up and cleanup bookkeeping is a core service. We have untangled books that were years behind, mixed personal and business accounts, and everything in between. We assess the situation, quote the cleanup as a flat-fee project, and then move you into a clean monthly rhythm.

Yes. Our deepest specialization is IT companies and managed service providers. We understand MRR, recurring revenue structures, the SIL chart of accounts, PSA and RMM tool integrations, and the financial benchmarks that matter in that industry. We work with other service businesses too, but MSPs are our home base.

QuickBooks Online for bookkeeping, Gusto for payroll, and whatever tools connect to them cleanly. We are a certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor with 20 years of experience on the platform. If you are on a different system, reach out and we can talk through whether a migration makes sense.

We are not a CPA firm and we do not prepare tax returns. What we do is keep your books so clean that your CPA barely has to touch them. We also coordinate with a CPA partner who handles compilations, reviews, and full audits for clients who need that level of credentialing.

Monthly bookkeeping is flat-rate and based on your revenue tier and transaction volume. Payroll is priced per run. Cleanup projects are quoted flat fee before we start. We do not require long-term contracts. Cancel anytime with 30 days notice.

We start with a free consultation to understand your business and current books. Once you are ready, we get read access to your existing accounts, review the current state, and map out the cleanup or setup needed. We then establish your chart of accounts, connect your bank feeds, and get your first month reconciled. Most clients are fully set up within two to three weeks.

Reconciled books, a profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement delivered by the 15th of every month. Higher-tier plans include additional reporting and more frequent touchpoints. You will always know where your business stands without having to ask.

Yes. Multi-year catch-up is something we handle regularly. We will assess how far back you need to go, what the records look like, and quote the full project as a flat fee. We work through it systematically and get you current before transitioning to monthly maintenance.

Typically within a week of your initial consultation. We will schedule a call, review your current situation, send over an engagement agreement, and begin onboarding. We move as fast as you do.
